Learning DotA

I know a lot of you guys are new at DotA and it's a pain to learn every single hero and what to get on them.

What I did was choose a few heroes and read up a guide on them, specifically just the skill/item builds and the official DotA forums have an entire list of guides for every single hero as well as feature of the game.

You'll have to register on the forums to view the guides. Also, to get to the list of strategies from the main page (http://www.dota-allstars.com/index.php), go to Forum/Strategy and the topic is the first one pinned under "Important Topics."

Again, it seems like a lot of effort to get good at a WC3 game, but DotA is pretty complex and this will help.
